Submissions 

The Association of Fraternity/Sorority Life welcomes submissions; research articles for Oracle should stress the underlying issues or problems that stimulated the research; treat the methodology concisely; and, most importantly, offer a full discussion of results, implications, and conclusions. We also encourage the submission of thoughtful, documented essays or historical perspectives.

Oracle
advances the study of college fraternities and sororities through a peer-reviewed academic journal promoting scholarly discourse among partners invested in the college fraternal movement. Oracle serves as the premier forum for academic discourse and scholarly inquiry regarding the college fraternity and sorority movement. Oracle is published biannually.

Acceptance Rate

The acceptance rate for Oracle: Research Journal of the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors is 50%. The majority of articles are not accepted when first submitted. As a core purpose, Oracle promotes the development of scholars in the field of fraternity/sorority studies as well as the advancement of thoughtful conversation and reflection on fraternity/sorority participation.

To achieve this purpose, the Editorial Board is committed to working with authors from initial submission to publication as long as the submission meets the three basic requirements for consideration. The study must be: (1) empirically grounded, (2) conceptually sound, and (3) related to fraternity/sorority participation as a field of study.
